General Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate - Plumbing to join our team on-site in Columbus OH. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping plumbing materials. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and knowledgeable in plumbing supplies and warehouse procedures. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.
- Receive and inspect incoming plumbing materials and verify accuracy of shipments
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment
- Load and unload trucks using proper equipment and safety procedures
- Organize and stock inventory in appropriate warehouse locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (if certified)
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of plumbing materials and equipment required
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Fast-paced warehouse setting with frequent movement and activity
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on season and warehouse conditions
- Regular use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools
- Requires adherence to strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Team-oriented environment focused on efficiency, accuracy, and safety
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs. Comfortable working at heights and using ladders. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
