Position Description
Ryder is hiring Temp to Hire Warehouse Associates in Columbus, Ohio — offering weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.
Pay and Schedule- $17.00 per hour
- First Shift Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; weekend as needed for OT
- On the job paid training
- Safety gear provided

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of related warehouse experience required
- One year or more related warehouse experience preferred
- Operate powered industrial truck(s) such as forklifts; maintain equipment; intermediate required
- May be required to operate manual or automated equipment such as packaging line; intermediate preferred
- Powered industrial truck certification
- Read, do basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, policies
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Input data into WMS computer system(s)
- Work overtime as assigned
- Create and maintain professional relationships at all levels
- Work independently and as team member
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in fast-paced environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure all scanning completed correctly; help train dock employees on new procedures; ensure facility secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping; perform picking and packing duties; check for evidence of product or container damage.
- Perform assigned tasks as described by location's policies and procedures to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions.
- Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
- Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self‑improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions.
- Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
