Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Operations by handling materials and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. This includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations performs or controls a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery.

It ensures the efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to shipment of products to internal and external customers under prescribed service parameters.

The Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations supports the Warehouse Supervisor by managing inbound or outbound operations on the warehouse floor and facilitating effective warehouse operations through direction of staff. The role assists in coordinating receipt of shipments, scheduling incoming trucks, making internal appointments, delegating work among staff, and producing reports on workforce productivity and quality. The Lead Associate also communicates with external customers to report disruptions, provide delivery updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.

The CHLC is Cardinal Health’s newest Pharmaceutical Supply Chain operation in Groveport, Ohio. The approximately 350,000‑square‑foot facility features innovative automation technology and focuses on picking, packing, and shipping consumer products.

• Follow standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations to facilitate successful operational activities.
• Direct workflows on the floor, including packing, unloading, shipping, and managing the delivery schedule.
• Analyze internal data and report on productivity and efficiency to identify performance trends.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors to align on warehouse and inventory priorities in line with operational objectives.
• Assist in inbound and outbound workload forecasting through historical and trend analysis to determine labor utilization.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking, and shipping as necessary.

• Apply extensive knowledge of company policies to complete a wide range of assignments.
• Demonstrate expert understanding of all levels of the job family and thorough knowledge beyond the area of responsibility.
• Take the lead in applying new processes and skills to accomplish assignments.
• Provide technical guidance and training to others.
• Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
• Work on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative.
• Make recommendations for new or revised processes and participate in implementation.
• Adhere to all quality guidelines.
• Work with minimal supervision and exercise decision latitude within established guidelines.
• Guide less experienced team members and assume informal team‑leader responsibilities as needed.

• Four or more years of experience (preferred).
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working at heights of 20‑30ft regularly.
• Capacity to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading and writing.
