Container Handler

Con Global is seeking a Container Handler to support intermodal and terminal operations in a fast-paced yard environment. In this role, you will safely load, unload, and move containers using forklifts and other handling equipment, following strict safety and operational procedures. You'll stage and organize containers per work orders, help maintain accurate yard locations, and perform basic equipment and container checks.

Working within a collaborative, safety-focused team, you'll play a key role in keeping freight moving efficiently across rail, ocean, and trucking networks.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, and move intermodal containers within the terminal or yard
• Operate forklifts, top picks, or related container handling equipment per safety standards
• Inspect containers and equipment for visible damage or safety concerns
• Stage containers according to work orders, schedules, and customer requirements
• Use radios or terminal systems to receive and confirm move instructions
• Maintain accurate yard locations and basic inventory of containers

• Global and regulatory safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Assist with basic housekeeping and organization of the yard and work areas
• Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors
