Warehouse Supervisor

Overview

Work Shift:

Mon-Fri 2:30pm-12amT. Marzetti Companyis looking to hire team members who will grow with us on our journey towards world-class operational excellence.

The position of Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning,organizing,andmonitoringthe receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials and supplies to ensure these items are stored or delivered to the proper areas/departments in an efficient,timely manner during an assigned shift. Alsomonitorsthe shipment of finished product andgoods.

  Safety

  • Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
  • Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves,shieldsandaprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provideoptimalpersonal safety & protection while working in the facility.
  • Successfullyacquiresandmaintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification formachineand safely performs all functions in accordancetoOHSA andcompany requirements and standards.
  • Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation.

  Quality

  • Corrects issues whenidentifiedandparticipatesin problem solving.
  • Ensures compliancetoquality, food safety/ HACCP,FSMA,Food Defense,5S, OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company,customer and government standards.
  • Communicates any concerns related to product safety, integrity,quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary.

  Functional Capability

  • Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
  • Managing,evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, andtimelydelivery of goods and materials.
  • Ordering supplies andmaintainingsuitable inventory levels to support production.
  • Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
  • Communicates effectively – verbally & in writing - with employees, management,vendors and drivers.
  • Regularly reviews andapprovesemployee hours and attendance infractions using Kronos time management software.
  • Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management.
  • EnsurescomplianceOSHA,stateand local regulations among shipping personnel.
  • Ensures compliancetoquality, foodsafetyand HAACP support programs; assures conformity to all company,customer and government standard..

• • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree in business, management,logisticsora related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
  • Experience in a union manufacturing environment.
  • ERP/WMS Experience preferred
