Warehouse Team Leader – PM Shift

About the Role

Bluegrass Supply Chain is seeking a dependable and hands‑on Warehouse Team Leader to support our PM shift operations in Columbus, Ohio.

This position leads team members through the core functions of the warehouse, including receiving, inventory management, material movement, order preparation, and shipping
. The Team Leader works alongside the team while helping ensure daily work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

A key part of this role is maintaining the quality of service we provide to our customer. The Team Leader performs regular process audits, quality checks, and team member observations to verify procedures are being followed and to identify opportunities for coaching and improvement.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is ready to take on additional leadership responsibility and help drive the performance of a team.

Requirements What You’ll Do
  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities across receiving, inventory management, material movement, and shipping
  • Assign work and help ensure daily priorities and customer requirements are completed on time
  • Work alongside team members and provide hands‑on support when needed
  • Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and inventory accuracy throughout the shift
  • Perform operational audits and quality checks to ensure established processes are being followed
  • Conduct team member observations and provide coaching and feedback
  • Identify errors, process gaps, and quality concerns before they impact the customer
  • Verify incoming and outgoing product for accuracy and condition
  • Support accurate receiving, put away, inventory, picking, and shipping transactions
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with cycle counts and inventory control
  • Verify trailers, loads, and equipment are safe and ready for use
  • Ensure required shipping and receiving documentation is completed accurately
  • Train new and existing team members on warehouse processes and expectations
  • Reinforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Communicate operational issues, staffing needs, and customer concerns to warehouse leadership
  • Participate in daily shift meetings and communicate priorities to the team
  • Help create a positive, accountable, and team‑oriented work environment
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred
  • Previous Team Lead, Lead Associate, or other leadership experience preferred
  • Seat‑down forklift experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with receiving, shipping, and inventory management processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lead, coach, and communicate effectively with team members
  • Comfortable holding team members accountable to established processes and expectations
  • Ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management or inventory systems preferred
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to workplace safety and customer service
What Your Workday Looks Like

This is a hands‑on leadership position. You will spend much of your shift on the warehouse floor working with team members, monitoring operations, verifying quality, completing audits and observations, and helping keep work moving according to plan.

The warehouse environment may include varying temperatures, equipment traffic, and normal warehouse noise. This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
