Job Description

As the Premier Banker you will be the primary contact for a complex client portfolio of mass‑affluent clients, managing the full banking relationship, driving growth, deepening relationships, and retaining clients through a consultative, advice‑based approach.

Depth & Scope
  • Manage and grow a mass‑affluent book of business, proactively addressing banking needs.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of banking and credit products, and act as a liaison with partners in small business, wealth, commercial, and lending.
  • Acquire, retain, and deepen relationships with new mass‑affluent clients through referrals, leads, and outbound prospecting.
  • Engage in client outreach via phone, email, appointments, and other means to conduct needs‑based conversations and recommend solutions.
  • Deliver excellent client service and escalated issue management as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all relevant retail/wealth policies, procedures, FINRA, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage clients about loan products, facilitate application intake, and maintain an active NMLS registration.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for relationship deepening across wealth, commercial, and other banking segments.
  • Provide coaching to bank staff on articulating program value and generating Premier referrals.
  • Implement TD’s Client Identification Program (CIP) and other AML due‑diligence requirements.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of financial/banking experience.
  • Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) strongly preferred.
  • Life & Health license preferred.
  • Experience with retail and small‑business banking and with mass‑affluent and high‑net‑worth clients.
  • Active NMLS registration upon hire.
  • Consultative sales experience required.
Customer Accountabilities
  • Deliver the TD Premier program to eligible clients.
  • Act as an educator and advisor, demonstrating product knowledge.
  • Perform routine and complex client transactions with high service standards.
  • Build relationships via proactive outreach, engagement, and partnership referrals.
  • Use relationship tools for needs‑based conversations and proactive advice.
  • Educate clients on banking preferences and current promotions.
  • Support the bank’s customer service strategy.
  • Advocate for clients with proactive insights and recommendations.
  • Consider impact on TD, clients, and stakeholders in decision making.
  • Provide high‑level service when interacting with internal partners or vendors.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for client needs across products and services.
Shareholder Accountabilities
  • Contribute to operational excellence by ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare documentation that accurately reflects client intentions and complies with rules.
  • Apply compliance policies to all transactions and record appropriate documentation.
  • Engage with clients regarding loan applications and conduct loan closings.
  • Meet performance metrics and store goals.
