Overview
The Surgical Coordinator assists practice managers in the daily operations of the central scheduling unit and ensures information is obtained regarding the scheduling of physicians on call.
Responsibilities- Manages tasks related to booking hospital procedure
- Demonstrates pleasant phone voice and communication
- Demonstrates ability to work in a detail‑oriented environment
- Handles duties related to patient care in a team‑based, integrative health environment
- Shows competency in all skills related to providing exceptional patient care
- Front office duties: greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling patients, and verifying insurances
- Demonstrates knowledge of insurance issues affecting patient care
- Demonstrates knowledge of securing prior authorizations and authorization for procedures
- Ensures necessary medical record information is present for the procedure, including medical clearance if needed
- Works collaboratively with hospital personnel to ensure procedures are booked, providing a seamless process for patients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of physician office scheduling experience
- Clinical experience preferred
USD $22.99 – USD $35.60 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
