Full-Time | Tuesday-Saturday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

We're seeking a compassionate, motivated professional to join our team as a Residential Shift Supervisor at our 31-bed Intermediate Care Facility in Commack. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with direct care experience who is ready to take the next step into management and leadership.

As a Residential Shift Supervisor, you'll lead Direct Care Staff during your assigned shift and help ensure individuals receive exceptional care, support, and opportunities to maximize their independence.
You'll play a critical role in supporting both residents and staff by coordinating daily activities, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
Lead and Support Staff
- Supervise and guide Direct Care Staff during assigned shifts
- Assign staff responsibilities and daily activities based on individual needs and program requirements
- Adjust schedules and assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and quality care
- Mentor staff and promote a positive, professional work environment
- Maintain attendance, performance, training, and personnel records
Support Individuals Served
- Help ensure high-quality care and therapeutic interactions
- Encourage independence in daily living activities, recreation, and community involvement
- Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered supports
Maintain Quality and Compliance
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the residence
- Conduct and document fire drills and evacuation procedures
- Assist with implementing agency policies and regulatory requirements
- Support a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience supporting children or adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities
- Valid New York State Driver's License + 1 year licensed driving experience
Management experience is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates who are ready to grow into a leadership role.
