Prep Technician
We are looking for a dedicated General Laborer to sand and prepare trucks for painting. This role is crucial in ensuring our vehicles are ready for a high-quality finish.
Responsibilities
- Sand and prep trucks for paint application.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively for sanding and preparation tasks.
- Ensure all surfaces are smooth and ready for painting.
- Apply tape and other protective materials as needed before painting.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in sanding and paint preparation.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to use an auto body sander, prepper, and taper effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
Work in a dynamic body shop environment on the first shift, Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commack, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
