Senior Estimator
Location: Henderson, CO (On-Site)

Salary: $120,000 $ 150,000 per year (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing electrical construction team specializing in commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring project competitiveness, profitability, and growth through accurate cost estimating and bid development.
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing complete cost estimates, responding to RFPs/RFQs, and supporting pre-construction efforts while collaborating closely with internal teams, project management, and external clients. This role also includes mentoring junior estimators and contributing to process improvement across the estimating function.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates for electrical construction projects
- Develop and submit responses to RFPs and RFQs
- Create bid strategies to improve project win rates and profitability
- Perform field take-offs and constructability reviews
- Coordinate with project managers and construction teams throughout project lifecycle
- Maintain estimating databases, bid logs, and cost tracking reports
- Prepare bills of materials and support procurement processes
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy
- Support change order preparation and cost adjustments
- Mentor and guide junior estimators and trainees
- Participate in estimate reviews with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with project close-out and cost reconciliation
- Minimum 5+ years of electrical construction estimating experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, materials, and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar tools
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership capability
- Commercial, industrial, or large-scale electrical project estimating
- Design-build and preconstruction experience
- Mentoring or leading estimating teams
- Strong exposure to cost engineering and bid strategy development
- Work on large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects
