Victory Preparatory Academy (VPA), a high-performing public charter school serving grades 6–12, is seeking an engaging and mission-driven High School Biology & Chemistry Teacher to join our award-winning team.
You’ll teach traditional 9th-grade Biology and high school Chemistry through hands‑on laboratory experiences, scientific inquiry, and real‑world applications that prepare students for college, careers, and life.

Competitive Compensation- Salary: $59,800–$66,600 based on education and experience
- $350 Sign-On Bonus

As our High School Biology & Chemistry Teacher, you will:
- Teach Biology and Chemistry aligned to Colorado Academic Standards
- Design engaging lessons, demonstrations, and laboratory investigations
- Foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving
- Teach laboratory safety, scientific measurement, data analysis, and scientific writing
- Maintain a safe and organized science laboratory
- Monitor student progress and communicate with families
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, assessments, interventions, and instructional improvement
- Create a structured, respectful classroom focused on student achievement
Required:
- Valid Colorado Teaching License with Secondary Science endorsement OR
- 36 semester credit hours in Biology, Chemistry, or Science OR
- Passing score on the appropriate PRAXIS Science exam
- Strong Biology and Chemistry content knowledge
- Ability to safely conduct laboratory investigations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Previous secondary teaching experience
- Experience with laboratory science instruction
- Familiarity with Teach Like A Champion, Direct Instruction, or structured instructional models
