Under the guidance of our Recreation Coordinator and Preschool Director, you’ll play a key role in planning and implementing fun and educational activities for preschool-aged children, ranging from 2 to 6 years old. The hiring range is $17.06 - 20.11 / per hour.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must possess current CPR/First Aid certificates or be able to obtain them within 10 days of hire date. Must possess current Standard Precautions certificate or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire date.. Bilingual in Spanish desired.

A background check and fingerprinting are required. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to operate various automobiles, including 14-passenger vans. CDL not required for this position.

(3) months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children under six (6) years of age who are not related to the individual.

At least 21 years of age, two (2) years college, six (6) months (910 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children under six (6) years of age who are not related to the individual.

• Eligibility for Pay Increases:
  Employees are eligible for a pay increase during their annual appraisal following a successful evaluation. Pay increases do not come at the time of the six-month introductory evaluation.
• Personal Computer Employee Purchase Program:
  To encourage the development of employee computer skills, the City offers an interest-free loan to you for the purchase of computer hardware (including a Desktop or Laptop) and software. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.
• Recreation Center Membership:
  Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.
• Golf Course Green Fees:
  Employees can play the City’s award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
