CAD Drafter

Commerce City, CO:
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for transformers, switch gear, and related electrical equipment while supporting project documentation, design updates, and customer deliverables.

• Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings using Solid Works for transformers, switch gear, and related electrical equipment.
• Take physical measurements of equipment and incorporate findings into technical drawings and models.
• Prepare customer-ready drawing packages for equipment processed through the facility.
• Document high-voltage and low-voltage equipment configurations, dimensions, and components with a high level of accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure drawings align with project requirements, field conditions, and customer expectations.
• Update and revise drawings to reflect design modifications, repair scopes, and final equipment configurations.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, file organization, and revision control for all assigned projects.
• Review drawings and documentation for completeness and quality prior to release.
• Support project teams with technical drafting assistance as needed.
• Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as required.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of drafting experience utilizing Solid Works or AutoCAD 3D.
• Proficiency in creating 3D models and detailed technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, dimensioning practices, and drawing standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with electrical equipment, transformers, or switch gear is preferred.
• First Aid/CPR, AED, and OSHA 10 certifications are preferred.
• Ability to perform all job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to operate computers, drafting software, and related office equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment specifications.
• Ability to take physical measurements of equipment in a shop or warehouse environment.
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work safely around industrial and electrical equipment.
• Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
