Role OverviewPlay an integral role in ensuring that piping systems are installed and verified as built to support future operations, maintenance, and project work. Operate as the critical interface between design, construction, and operations—walking systems in the field, validating installation against drawings, and producing accurate as‑built documentation. This is a highly technical, field‑focused role where your attention to detail and practical expertise directly influence safety, operability, and project success.
Purposeof the Role
Provide field engineering and design expertise post‑construction to ensure accurate as‑built facility documentation that supports operations, maintenance, and the starting point for new projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field‑based verification and walk‑down activities, noting safety or operational concerns and requirements.
- Verify installation against issued‑for‑construction (IFC) drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
- Mark up drawings with field revisions (redlines) to accurately reflect as‑built conditions.
- Identify hazards and ensure compliance with project safety requirements, contributing to safe execution of all field activities.
- Coordinate with the piping design team in Bogota, Colombia to obtain red‑lines and as‑built data.
- Piping design with field experience or field engineering experience, or an equivalent trade qualification supported by relevant industry experience.
- Typically 7+ years of experience in piping, field engineering, construction, or commissioning in industrial or EPC environments.
- Proven experience performing piping walk‑downs and system verification on small and medium projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and construction documentation.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving field‑design discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document issues, provide structured feedback, and collaborate across teams.
- Strong knowledge of field systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and support continuous improvement.
- A safety‑first mindset, with a commitment to quality, compliance, and operational integrity.
- Position is in Fort Collins / Commerce City.
- Salary: $100,000 – $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
