Please note, that we are primarily a pipe shop, but we also weld on structural and non-pipe jobs. While we are hiring for a TIG Pipe welder, we need a candidate who is ready to weld with most welding methods and fabricate structural steel as well.

Experience:
3+ years (required) - Commercial construction or other field welding: 5+ years (required)
- Current or prior ASME certifications on most common welding methods; require prior certification in GTAW welding procedures.
- Commerce City welding shop and across Denver Metro (occasionally across Front Range) and uncommon out-of-town assignments
- GTAW carbon/stainless steel spools and pipe routing based on specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Accurately lay out parts, assemble, and make appropriate welds based on specifications.
- Contribute to design of solutions.
- Responsible for fabrication of solutions in addition to welding.
- Ensure work is done safety and meets quality standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company rules and polices.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items manually (up to 60 pounds).
- Operate forklift, bandsaw, other machineries, electric and hand tools.
- At least three years' experience with GTAW pipe welding required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs to maximize effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shields, gloves, etc.)
- High levels of attention to detail.
- Ability to perform shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents.
- Ability to produce quality products consistently.
- Ability and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and desire to contribute to a team.
- Willing to work 40+ hours weekly.
- All candidates must pass dissimilar metal test - GTAW 6G pipe test
- Must pass visual & bend test
- Candidates must provide their own PPE, hood, gloves for the initial test
