Inside Sales Position – Commerce City, CO

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring immediately for an Inside Sales position focused on increasing revenue through new account acquisition, suggestive selling, and nurturing professional relationships. The role involves coordinating and delivering services, processing orders, and handling telephone inquiries with mechanical or operational troubleshooting. Working ~80% in the office and 20% in the yard, the incumbent will also cross‑train with Dispatch.

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Overtime Eligible)

Pay Range: $22.10 - $30.40/hr based on experience.

• 2-3 years customer service experience required
• 2-3 years inside sales experience preferred
• Comfortable working independently or with a team
• Technologically capable:
  Microsoft Office and familiarity with CAD, AS/400 highly preferred
• Excellent communicator with a positive attitude
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license, minimum age 21
• Strong customer service skills
• Collaborative mindset to achieve sales goals
• Detail‑oriented with ability to switch tasks quickly

• Answer and document incoming telephone calls to assist customers with rental needs
• Perform routine rental transactions: create reservations, schedule pickups, issue quotes, process returned items
• Assist walk‑in customers, vendors, and applicants in a professional manner
• Help customers select appropriate equipment for safety and satisfaction
• Communicate with yard and shop via two‑way radio for loading/unloading and equipment needs
• Review daily credit card rental file for billing accuracy
• Enter lost rentals, inquiries, and service calls into counter logbook
• Monitor open contract bin and credit card files for accuracy
• Pass leads to field sales personnel for follow‑up
• Assist with loading/unloading and equipment delivery as needed
• Schedule extended hours and on‑call/standby rotation as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
