Position Summary
We're hiring a qualified Automotive Diesel Technician Level 2 to join our growing Commerce City service department. In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of diesel-powered vehicles, including Class 7 and Class 8 units. You'll work alongside experienced team members in a shop that values expertise, precision, and accountability.
Job Type & Schedule
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, with optional or rotating Saturdays
Pay Range: $30-$50 per hour, depending on experience and certifications
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems with minimal supervision
- Conduct preventative maintenance services and safety checks
- Operate diagnostic tools and repair equipment efficiently and accurately
- Communicate clearly with service advisors to provide updates and recommendations
- Accurately log all service work and repairs in the system
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed
- Follow all safety standards and operational procedures set by the shop
- 2+ years of diesel technician experience working with Class 7 or 8 trucks
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics, troubleshooting, and diesel repair best practices
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school training is a plus
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic systems and service software
- ASE and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
- Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
