Construction Laborer
We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Laborer to join our construction team. The role involves loading, unloading and moving materials and equipment at job sites, as well as maintaining job site cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy lifting and operating forklifts and flat carts. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to adapt to various environmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Material Handling:
Carry, load, and unload drywall materials, including joint compound (mud), drywall, metal studs, scaffold components, and hardware. Use of forklifts and carts. - Job Site Clean-Up:
Clear site by manually removing scrap using shovels, scrapers, brooms, and carts. - Equipment Use:
Operate forklifts, brooms, floor scrapers, dollies, drywall, and scrap carts safely. - Light Duties:
Occasionally handle office paperwork, light clean-up duties, and organize gang boxes. - Consistent Attendance:
Show up regularly to fulfill duties effectively.
Work Environment:
This role involves working inside and outside of buildings and job sites. Expect varying conditions influenced by other trades, with noise and dusty environments. Hot summers and cold winters are typical, and uneven walking surfaces are common.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 140 pounds.
- Required to consistently lift and carry 50 to 60 pounds for three to five hours daily.
- Required to frequently push and pull 50-pound carts for up to one hour daily.
- Employee must occasionally operate 5-pound brooms or scrapers for one hour per day.
- Required to reach and push 40 to 60-pound scrap above shoulder level for up to one hour at a time.
- Must stand, walk, and carry items for approximately six hours daily.
- Required to climb stairs while carrying 40 to 60 pounds.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience in heavy lifting and material handling.
- Ability to operate forklifts, flat carts, and other related tools.
- Strong physical stamina and coordination.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $20-$24/hour, based on experience and qualifications
