- Must be at least 21 years old
- 4+ years of experience
- Basic computer skills
- CDL preferred (not required)
- Knowledgeable in DOT inspections and full understanding of pre/post‑trip requirements
- Shop experience preferred
- Journeyman-level technician with Paccar engine knowledge
- Emission after‑treatment system experience
- Electrical diagnostic and repair knowledge
- HVAC certified or equal experience
As a Full-Time Heavy‑Duty Diesel Technician at American Truck Centers, you’ll enjoy a 3‑ or 4‑day work week (four 10‑hour days) with the opportunity for overtime. Your typical day will involve performing maintenance/inspection on all vehicles and equipment, diagnosing and repairing larger‑scale issues, handling some building/facility maintenance tasks, and assisting drivers in the yard with pre‑trip or start‑up issues. You’ll be an integral part of our team, ensuring that every truck coming out of our shop is in top‑notch condition upon completing any repairs.
