Social Worker in Commerce

Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a dedicated school social worker in the Commerce City area. Step into a rewarding contract position supporting two consecutive FMLA leaves, serving K-12 students during the  academic year. Your expertise will be critical in guiding students through challenges, connecting families to resources, and fostering a supportive school environment.

• Current, active licensure as a Social Worker in Colorado is required
• Previous experience in school social work roles strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work across elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Strong communication, advocacy, and crisis intervention skills
• Adaptability to work in an itinerant capacity across multiple sites
• Commitment to cultural competency and inclusive practices

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to K-12 students
• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and other school staff to identify and address student needs
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students facing social or behavioral challenges
• Serve as a resource for families, connecting them with community supports and services
• Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as needed
• Support the transition for staff on FMLA leave to ensure continuity of care for students
