Position Overview
The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for the safe and efficient servicing of non-hazardous liquid waste systems, including grease traps, interceptors, and related infrastructure. This role combines professional driving, technical service execution, and customer interaction in a safety- and compliance-focused environment.
This position operates primarily on an overnight schedule and is ideal for CDL drivers who prefer consistent routes, structured work, and independent responsibility.
Responsibilities- Operate CDL Class A equipment safely and in compliance with DOT and company policies
- Perform scheduled servicing of grease traps, interceptors, and related systems
- Complete service documentation accurately using company systems
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service timing and site access
- Conduct basic equipment inspections and report mechanical or safety issues promptly
- Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and operational procedures
- Participate in periodic overnight travel assignments (1–2 nights per month)
- Work two Saturdays per month as part of the regular schedule rotation
- Primary schedule:
Monday–Friday, 12:00 AM – 10:00 AM - Typical workweek ranges from 40–50 hours, depending on route volume and operational needs
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Comfort working overnight hours and independently in the field
- Prior environmental services or liquid waste experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks and equipment
- Ability to lift, pull, and maneuver hoses and tools
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Starting pay: $29.50/hour
