Pay Range
Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour + Safety Incentive

Pay rate is dependent upon education and experience.

Essential Functions
  • Complete and maintain daily truck log, fuel and mileage reports, IFTA paperwork, and DOT logs.
  • Accurately manage the use and reporting of company fuel card.
  • Report unsafe conditions related to rental equipment.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and meet professional standards, including DOT inspections.
  • Seek ways to improve daily routine and implement agreed-upon changes with the manager.
  • Assist with workload in other departments or branch areas when not busy with assigned tasks.
  • Meet customer needs and requests in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Communicate with counter and shop personnel regarding company equipment.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company and promote additional sales by providing knowledge of available products and services.
  • Conduct daily post-trip vehicle inspection as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
  • Maintain vehicle safety through daily inspections of tires, lights, signals, glass, fluids, and tire pressures.
  • Prepare vehicle for next-day business (fuel, pre-loads, etc.) whenever possible.
  • Learn and understand equipment thoroughly to ensure safe operation.
  • Demonstrate equipment operation to customers in a safe and effective manner.
  • Inspect all equipment for damage at pickup, document findings, and submit damage reports to Rental Counter personnel.
  • Comply with DOT Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years professional driving experience
  • 3+ years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3+ years customer service experience
  • 1+ year working knowledge of construction equipment
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license for state of employment
  • CDL Class A tanker certified driver’s license
  • Excellent driving record (no DUI’s, suspensions, or DOT violations)
