Amazon is seeking a Transportation Associate to support our transportation operations. The role involves trailer moves, yard coordination, audits, driver training, and operating multiple vehicle types to support Amazon’s transportation network.

• Make safety a priority by adhering to company rules and regulations and enforcing safety measures for all vehicle operators, vendors, and team members.
• Perform various functions within the yard and support site operations, internal transportation field teams, and external carriers to ensure trailers arrive and depart on time with zero defects and maintain workflow for buildings.
• Operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on non‑public roads or within the yard to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations.
• Learn and comply with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and company policies related to size, weight, route designations, parking, trailer designations, violation and incident reporting, break periods, etc.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and notify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues.
• Follow hostler and delivery schedules, track and report working hours and breaks in compliance with Amazon policy, federal and state regulations, and obey all applicable traffic laws.
• Support the business as needed by serving as a peer trainer or working at nearby site locations.
• Drive, maneuver, and load/unload trailers using approved equipment such as pallet jacks.

• Opportunity to work outside and drive different commercial motor vehicles in the yard and over the road.
• Exposure to different Amazon site types including NACF, NASC, Air, AMZL & AMXL.

• Potential for Amazon to pay for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if business need dictates.

• Hold a valid and active driver’s license (Class A CDL acceptable).
• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older with ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and ascend/descend stairs.
• Work 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse audiences.
• Experience building strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and outside vendors.
• A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (optional but preferred).
• Completion of a Career Choice Commercial Driver’s License course (preferred).

• Associate must obtain CDL and Driver Qualification File (DQF) and use it as a condition of the role;
  Amazon pays for it if required.
• For DOT‑regulated roles, candidates must also undergo pre‑employment background screening, a DOT physical, and Amazon’s pre‑employment drug test.
