Mid market distribution company in Commerce California is hiring an interim / contract accounting manager. We plan to select a candidate who is contracting experience (not a candidate who is in a job search). The need is two fold, keep the periodic accounting in place and also address some projects to implement applications and technology to better automate the department. The department is small (less than 10 people including the Controller and CFO) so the job definitely has hands‑on work to be performed.

Requirements:

• Contracting experience as an accounting manager or controller.
• CPA or CMA is highly preferred. Excel expertise is required (there is an assessment during the hiring process).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• 10+ years of general accounting experience in general accounting in the middle market.
