Position: Sr. Supplier Performance Specialist

Role Overview

The Senior Supplier Performance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our supplier relationships, including higher‑level responsibilities and leadership in managing supplier performance, addressing issues, and implementing improvement plans.

Responsibilities
  • Upload and review responses from suppliers regarding part delivery status.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct any discrepancies.
  • Enter quotes from suppliers and inter‑company as needed.
  • Address suppliers that are slow to respond or non‑responsive.
  • Expedite specific urgent items as required.
  • Deliver Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for chronically late suppliers.
  • Maintain improvement efforts with suppliers on poor delivery performance, using root‑cause corrective action methodologies.
  • Schedule appointments and office meetings as assigned.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain order priorities for deliveries with suppliers on focused delivery recovery efforts.
  • Expedite parts on‑site at suppliers utilizing lean manufacturing and work prioritization principles as required.
  • Communicate delivery improvement plan actions with Sales and Purchasing leadership teams.
  • Coordinate multiple and changing priorities daily.
  • Take responsibility for own work and provide support to others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3–4 years of experience in supply chain management or a related role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
Special Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or asylee/refugee status required.
  • ITAR requirement must be met.
  • Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
