Responsibilities
- Responsible for film extrusion and compounding processes
- Establish and define operating conditions for machinery within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Provide technical support to operators, including troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
- Develop, recommend, and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality teams to address and resolve technical concerns.
- Determine equipment capability to support new product inquiries and introductions.
- Benchmark technical solutions and share best practices with sister plants.
- Stay informed on technological advancements and industry developments.
- Select, evaluate, and coordinate with subcontractors for process improvement projects.
- Train operators on new equipment, processes, and system updates.
- Support and track process improvement action plans related to customer complaints.
- Participate in internal audits and customer visits as a technical representative.
- Provide technical support to customers when needed, particularly regarding issues with films or compounds.
- Actively support and participate in trials within area of responsibility.
- Prepare and maintain required documentation for machine operation, including instructions and procedures.
- Contribute to and, when required, lead capital investment and equipment-related projects within assigned scope.
- Knowledge of materials, processes and the ability to evaluate and correct process problems on all manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to interact with all plant personnel in order to achieve company goals and requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate and participate in joint projects with customers and other facilities.
- Ability to interpret written documents and apply them as required. Strong written and verbal communication skills to lead investigations and implementations of associated corrective actions relating to applicable Customer Complaints.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Ability to write procedures, work instructions, trial protocols and reports, and other related documents.
Pay: $71k-$95k
