This role requires on-site presence five days a week in Commerce, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, lead, and develop direct reports in Finance (excluding the Controller).
  • Perform Controller tasks in their absence.
  • Present financial information and perspectives to all levels, including C-suite and board of directors.
  • Identify business risk and opportunities with cross‑functional teams and develop mitigation plans.
  • Automate standard work processes to reduce administrative burden and risk of error.
  • Prepare robust and diligent financial business cases for capital investment proposals.
  • Perform in‑depth financial analysis that facilitates decision making.
  • Lead the annual budget process, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and challenging departments on expense, capital, productivity, and headcount plans.
  • Prepare, distribute, and consolidate budget review files in collaboration with departments.
  • Load financial statements into divisional and corporate consolidation systems.
  • Prepare and present monthly rolling forecast updates for income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Maintain a confidential personnel database for accurate financial forecasting.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close cycles, supporting the team to prepare the full set of financial statements and present them to the Controller.
  • Coordinate and prepare the monthly business review package, ensuring accurate information is received timely from other departments and challenging as necessary.
  • Act as the SOX compliance liaison with internal and external audit, coordinating documentation requests.
  • Provide information for local, state, and federal tax requirements, engaging corporate tax personnel as necessary.
  • Maintain RCM and critical testing documentation to reflect business conditions.
  • Own inventory control scope, related entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare work order variance analysis, identify root causes, and take corrective actions.
  • Review inventory risk monthly and ensure appropriate reserves are made.
  • Prepare annual cost roll data and lead implementation.
  • Oversee the cycle count process, ensuring accuracy greater than 95% and implementing improvement actions.
  • Lead the annual physical inventory process, ensuring effective designation of duties across the team, collating results, and communicating outcomes.
  • Demonstrate independent critical thinking, drive improvements, present to various levels, prioritize effectively, manage time constraints, drive high performance, lead with integrity, show initiative, be diligent, maintain a positive attitude, and possess a solid understanding of US GAAP and State/Federal tax laws.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
  • Team‑leading/supervisory experience.
  • 7+ years in a manufacturing environment with demonstrable cost‑accounting capability.
  • Strong ERP understanding and ability to identify/implement improvements with IT support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with knowledge of SQL or BI dashboard building.
Compensation

Expected pay range: $145,000 – $165,000.
