Role:
Surgical Technician
Responsibilities:- Prepare and assist in surgical procedures, handling instruments, sutures, and sponges while maintaining aseptic technique.
- Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for scheduled surgeries.
- Maintain a clean, sterile OR environment, sterilize equipment, and restock supplies.
- Assist in patient transportation, verification, and positioning for surgery.
- Support as a second circulator, participate in department education, evaluate surgical products, and contribute to policy development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent training.
- Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred.
- One to two years of surgical technician experience preferred.
- Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 5 pounds.
- Call commitment required.
