The Controller will report directly to the CEO & Managing Director and be fully responsible for all day-to-day accounting and finance functions of the organizations. These responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Leading and optimizing daily accounting operations and month-end close processes.
- Oversee consolidated financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) under US GAAP
- Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets
- Evaluate, adjust and develop needed improvements to Accounts Receivables
- Process payroll effectively and efficiently.
- Drive financial planning, reporting benchmarks, and performance metrics
- Prepare and present financial statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and KPIs
- Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and ensure compliance standards
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing accounting team
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or MBA, preferred but not required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3-5+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller
- Proven success in a Private Equity-backed, mid-market business
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance
- Prior experience in facilities services, municipal or government contracting industries, is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with new system/ERP implementations, preferred
