Job Overview

The Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Operations is responsible for directing the business to provide and ensure effective, maximum profitable operations and growth. This role, reporting to the President and CEO, establishes formulation and execution of current and long-range objectives, develops and implements the company structure, operating plans, and policies. The COO leads four vice presidents (Health Services, Senior Care and Managed Care, IT/Enterprise Services) and program models delivered across the service area.

The COO will review ongoing services, develop new programs as needs emerge, and oversee licensure, human rights, human capital, compliance, finance, and contracts. The COO partners with other senior leaders and is responsible for program planning, growth, and related strategies, organizing, operating, and staffing. The role includes budget development and management in conjunction with the CFO and CEO, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and licensing requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A master’s degree is required in public health, social work, or a related field, unless the candidate has exceptional field experience.
• Strong working knowledge of major public policy and organizational factors.
• Budgets and financial skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Medical group management experience is highly preferred.
• Gerontology experience preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher under American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
