Job Description Schedule- 3rd Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM
Responsible for machine operation and crew in a light industrial setting. Must manage the machine team to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Material Handler 1 and Light Equipment Operator 1 and 2 as required.
Key Duties / Responsibilities- Production:
Monitors performance of machines and personnel. Provides feedback to personnel. Ensures that goals are being met, crews have tools and resources needed, and issues are communicated to the Supervisor. Ensures that the processes are being followed for production and material handling. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed. - Crew Leadership/Training:
Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Trains and develops all crew members. - Quality and Waste:
Monitors product quality for correctness and reports when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Makes adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and takes steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage. - Communication / Record Keeping:
Maintains accurate record keeping (safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand, other logs or forms). Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor. Informs other Operators / Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- 3-5 Years related experience
- Basic computer experience
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lead as a cell leader (multiple machines).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment (varying upon equipment).
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communicator (share equipment knowledge, quality, and safety concerns).
- Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
- Mathematical skills, and advanced skills in production reports.
- Basic computer skills; technical skills may vary based on the equipment.
- Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of machine and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language (Preferred).

- Participate in the Team Business Meetings.
- Work prioritization to meet production commitments and goals.
- Machine staffing assignments.
- Machine processing speed.
- Ability to work overtime, beyond regular schedule, to complete work assignments as required.
- Must be able to carry up to 15 lbs., push and pull up to 40 lbs., twist, stand, walk, reach and grip throughout the shift. Requires frequent lifting up to 15 lbs., squatting and kneeling.
- Must work in a fast‑paced environment (varying upon equipment).
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, industrial lift trucks. Hearing protection is provided.

The national pay range for this role is $18.70 - $32.10 hourly. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on geographic location. Actual pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
