Job Overview
Join Albertsons Companies as a Production Supervisor at our milk facility in Commerce, CA. In this role you will lead a team, oversee milk processing operations, ensure compliance with GMP, safety regulations, and company policies, and drive continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and quality.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Maintain production schedules to meet output targets.
- Lead, supervise, and support production associates; provide performance evaluations and corrective actions.
- Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards; address and rectify issues affecting product quality.
- Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory; coordinate with the supply chain to optimize stock levels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions; implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Enforce and promote safety protocols; conduct regular safety training for production personnel.
- Effectively collaborate with cross‑functional partners (quality, logistics, maintenance) to ensure smooth operations.
- Train new production associates; provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Address and resolve production‑related issues promptly; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.).
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment; address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports; generate reports for management on production metrics.
- Two (2) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment.
- One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce.
- Ability to manage and develop associates.
- Working knowledge of MS applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business‑related applications.
