Position OverviewEnvironmental Field Technician is responsible for conducting field investigations, collecting environmental data, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Minimum Requirements- Prior experience in environmental, remediation, or construction fieldwork
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and professional field presence
- Education
: A degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or a related field is preferred. - Skills
:
Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, proficiency in using environmental testing equipment, and strong analytical skills are essential. - Certifications
:
Relevant certifications such as OSHA, HAZWOPER, or other environmental compliance certifications may be required.
- Data Collection
:
Collect soil, water, and air samples from various sites to assess environmental conditions and identify potential hazards. Delivery of samples to Laboratory. - Field Testing
:
Perform environmental testing and document findings accurately, maintaining detailed records of all fieldwork activities. - Equipment Operation
:
Operate and maintain environmental testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. - Reporting
:
Assist in the preparation of environmental assessment reports and communicate findings to project managers and team members. - Compliance
:
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during field visits and assist in the development of environmental remediation plans. - Collaboration
:
Work alongside engineers and scientists to support environmental investigations and monitoring efforts.
Environmental Field Technicians often work outdoors in various weather conditions and may need to travel to different locations, including industrial sites, landfills, and natural habitats. The role involves hands‑on fieldwork and collaboration with a team of professionals dedicated to environmental protection and sustainability. Taking and delivery of samples in a confidential manner.
Location and CompensationLocation: Los Angeles and Riverside Counties
Schedule: part Time during active site operations.
Salary: Based on experience: $20-25 per hour.
