The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to deliver quality service, supports operational needs across multiple locations, and participates in on-call rotations to address critical issues promptly.

The Exterior Services Technician team plays a vital role in maintaining Walmart facilities through landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep. They manage projects, coordinate resources, and oversee third-party providers while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. The team emphasizes clear communication, collaboration, and accountability to meet business objectives and deliver quality outcomes. What you’ll do:

• Install,configure,andcalibrateHVACandrefrigerationsystems,includingductworkandcontrolpanels,ensuringcompliancewithbuildingcodesandoperationalstandards.
• Diagnoseandresolvemechanical,electrical,andrefrigerant-relatedissuesincommercialandindustrialsystems.
• Performpreventivemaintenanceandroutineinspectionstooptimizeequipmentperformanceandminimizedowntime.
• Maintainrefrigerationunitssuchasracks,walk-ins,andreach-ins,adheringtoEPA
  608refrigeranthandlingprotocols.
• Leadandmentorfieldteamsontechnicalproceduresandsafetypractices.
• Coordinateservicecalls,manage workload,anddocumentrefrigerantusageandmaintenanceactivities.
• Operatecompanyvehiclessafelytocompleteservicecallswithinassignedregions.
• Participateinon-callrotationstosupportcriticalbusinessneeds.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance.
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring less-experienced technicians on technical and safety practices.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and coordinate with customers and service providers.
• Capability to manage service calls, use digital scheduling tools, and maintain accurate documentation.
