The ideal candidate is collaborative, data-driven, and experienced in managing parcel and freight programs in a fast-paced, multi-carrier retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze parcel and transportation performance including service levels, transit times, zone optimization, surcharges, delivery exceptions, claims, and freight classification accuracy.
  • Assist with transportation contract management, including carrier negotiations support, audits, and invoice validation.
  • Monitor freight and parcel movement to proactively resolve service failures, delivery issues, and escalations.
  • Perform root cause analysis for service failures, delivery exceptions, claims, and cost variances; develop corrective action plans and identify opportunities for cost savings, network improvements, and process efficiencies.
  • Contribute to dashboards and scorecards for transportation KPIs, including cost per package, on-time delivery, claims performance, and accessorial spend.
  • Support retail store and warehouse programs, including pool distribution, inventory replenishment, routing strategies, and service-level expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with fulfillment, inventory control, IT, customer service, retail operations, merchandising, and finance to align transportation strategy with business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in global logistics, transportation management, or supply chain operations with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent project and change management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proven experience with transportation analytics, cost modeling, working knowledge of parcel pricing structures, KPIs, zones, surcharges, and carrier services.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability, strong business acumen, organizational and analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into impactful, actionable outcomes.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and build strong partnerships with external and internal teams.
  • Deep understanding of omnichannel operations and pool distribution for B2B/B2C/DTC for the retail and apparel industry.
