Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose

Our Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will oversee the department functions and associates while maintaining production standards for receiving or shipping departments. This position will manage all daily issues and projects under the direction of the Operations Manager and work with all Distribution Center Departments, Transportation, and Inventory Management to ensure the timely and safe movement of product.

• Coordinate shipping schedules for production and properly plan for mixed product loads; resolve questions regarding shipping schedules or product unavailable for shipment.
• Administer reconsignment of freight, refusals, delivery problems, returned merchandise, etc. as necessary.
• Oversee receiving, verifying, and stocking inbound materials.
• Coordinate shipment logistics with outside freight companies.
• Maintain documentation of the shipping and receiving function.
• Create purchase orders for service vendors (e.g., grinder, plater) and expedite until receipt of services/goods.
• Maintain warehouse record‑keeping on raw materials and parts inventory.
• Supervise the maintenance of records of damaged or defective items and discrepancies in quantities and weights, and record time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials received or shipped.
• Identify and resolve TMS and RDC system issues and reporting requirements.

• 1–3 years of related supervisory/management experience required.
• 1–3 years of related job experience.
• Experience operating material‑handling equipment (lifting platforms, forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, etc.).
• Experience working in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse; exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions, loud noise, dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects and vehicles.
• Physical ability to lift, twist and carry 50–75 pounds, manipulate up to 160 pounds with equipment, use pallet jack for loads up to 2,000 pounds; walking, standing, sitting when driving equipment; lifting up to 150 pounds with assistance; stooping and kneeling when filling orders.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
• Basic experience with simple office/operational systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes.
• Salary: $75,900 per year.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Walking/standing throughout the warehouse; standing when operating order picker or reach truck; sitting only when driving sit-down equipment.

Salary: $75,900/yr.
