Regional Planner - North America Operations

Einride seeks an experienced Regional Planner to design and optimize regional freight networks, leveraging our proprietary VRP platform and AI‑driven tools.

• AI-Driven Load Matching:
  Manipulate large shipment datasets to identify the most profitable loads and tenders across multiple ELI hubs.
• Revenue Chasing:
  Actively seek high‑yield freight to maximize yield per mile across the regional network.
• Optimization:
  Balance asset‑based capacity with brokerage opportunities, ensuring every mile contributes to the bottom line.

• Trend Prediction:
  Forecast volume spikes and seasonal surges using historical data.
• Network Equilibrium:
  Detect regional imbalances (truck surpluses vs. load deficits) and work with sales to secure backhaul freight toward high‑demand zones.

• Precision Planning:
  Assign loads based on real‑time constraints such as Hours of Service, driver proximity, and home‑time requirements.
• Deadhead Elimination:
  Reduce empty miles through strategic routing and backhaul integration.
• Crisis Management:
  Re‑plan when variables change—equipment breakdowns, weather events, or port strikes—using agile rerouting.

• Strategic Sourcing:
  Identify and vet high‑performance third‑party carriers to supplement our fleet.
• Negotiation:
  Secure favorable spot‑market and contract rates to maintain healthy margins.
• Performance Analytics:
  Use data‑driven scorecards to monitor carrier safety and on‑time performance.

• TMS Mastery:
  Maintain real‑time accuracy within our TMS (Qargo), ensuring flawless truck location, driver status, and load updates.
• KPI Ownership:
  Report critical health metrics, including Operating Ratio, Revenue per Mile, and Tender Acceptance Rates.

• Self‑starter mindset:
  Treat your region like your own business, comfortable both speaking to drivers and analyzing spreadsheets.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Experience with modern TMS (Qargo preferred) and AI tools/algorithmic routing platforms.
• Logistics Expertise:
  Strong grasp of freight operations, HOS regulations, and pricing.
• Analytical Ability:
  Translate data insights into actions.

  6+ years in regional planning, freight brokerage, or carrier operations optimization.
