Job Overview

ACCO Engineered Systems is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Inventory Control Analyst to ensure the accuracy, organization, and integrity of inventory across both business‑owned facilities and third‑party logistics (3PL) warehouses. The analyst serves as the primary on‑site evaluator, utilizing the company’s proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS) to audit physical stock and enforce strict warehouse layout standards. The role requires an analytical thinker who can identify root causes of systemic variances and collaborate cross‑functionally to drive swift resolutions.

• Travel to assigned business and 3PL warehouses to perform comprehensive physical inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Reconcile physical stock counts against the WMS to identify, track, and report variances.
• Audit warehouse layouts to ensure inventory items are properly slotted, labeled, and organized per company standards.
• Conduct in‑depth investigations of WMS transaction histories to determine root causes of variances or missing items.
• Document and communicate audit findings and systemic failures to internal management and external 3PL partners.
• Act as the primary point of contact to resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure records are corrected swiftly.
• Partner with warehouse managers to design and implement corrective actions that prevent future misalignment.
• Analyze slotting and labeling data to recommend process improvements that enhance layout and operational efficiency.
• Track, analyze, and report inventory shrinkage metrics and financial impacts to minimize business loss.
• Monitor and maintain key warehouse performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy.

• High proficiency in navigating and utilizing WMS or complex enterprise database software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliation workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with external partners and incident reporting.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills with a root‑cause operational mindset.
• Exceptional attention to detail regarding warehouse organization, labeling accuracy, and inventory validation.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build productive relationships with internal teams and external 3PL vendors.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent plus relevant technical inventory experience; minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory control, warehouse auditing, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or related field; prior experience managing or auditing third‑party logistics (3PL) provider environments.

Travel to field, shop, project site, and 3PL warehouse locations is required 30%–50% of the time.

This is an exempt position. Workdays are Monday through Friday, typically 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with the supervisor.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds during audits.
• Vision: close and distance vision required for inspecting warehouse labels and stock numbers.
• Stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and navigate standard warehouse environments regularly.
• Prolonged sitting may be required during systematic data reconciliation and spreadsheet analysis.

$58,000 – $72,000 annual salary. Compensation is determined by factors such as job‑related skills, experience, certifications, education, and location.
