Summary
This is a job position that is responsible for coordinating and supervising all pharmacy services when the established, dedicated Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist-In-Charge is not available to report to work. Scheduled working hours are intermittent and unpredictable. As a recognized patient-centered medical home (PCMH), every employee is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of quality, comprehensive patient-centered care as a member of the patient s care team.
By performing the job expectations described below you will be an active member of the care team thereby patients are assured access to team-based, coordinated, comprehensive, quality care.
- Supervises pharmacy staff including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Directs, coordinates and supervises all pharmacy activities
- Works to facilitate and coordinate pharmacy operations
- Participates/assists in procurement of drugs, supplies and equipment used in preparing and dispensing drugs
- Perform duties of the clinical pharmacist as necessary
- Maintains clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy by reviewing the literature and attending in-services, seminars, and conferences and documents continuing education activities as required by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy
- Follows established channels of authority and communication throughout the organization
- Adherence to all policies and procedures regarding pharmacy services
- Any other additional duties that are reasonably requested
- Other Duties as assigned

- Thorough knowledge of office procedures, practices and equipment
- Knowledge of principles and practices of pharmacy business administration
- Knowledge of functions, organizations and governing laws and regulations of pharmacy
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in the interpretation and application of the Company's policies and procedures
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
