Job Overview
Compensation: $22.70 per hour + $1.50 shift differential
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30pm-4:30am
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with equipment and systems, and perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of equipment and systems.
- Respond to and address maintenance requests, including repairs, replacements, and installations.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment and coordinate with vendors for replacements or repairs.
- Keep maintenance records and documentation, including work orders, repair logs, and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility, including performing minor repairs and upkeep tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the set up and breakdown of equipment and systems for events or projects.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments to ensure efficient functioning of the facility.
- Continuously learn new skills and techniques to improve maintenance processes and keep up with industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, tenants, or employees by addressing and resolving maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize ability to follow systematic methods of performing tasks.
- Sense of urgency – Ability to maintain a level of urgency to address and perform tasks timely.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
- Education:
High School Graduate or GED required. - Experience:
Five (5) plus years related experience; one (1) year forklift experience. Technical or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or a related field preferred. - Proven experience as a maintenance technician, with knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with residents, tenants, and vendors.
- Basic personal computer skills.
- Valid State Driver’s License;
Forklift Certification Preferred, Ability to obtain certification based on job requirements.
