Summary

The facilities Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to daily operations, maintenance, safety, and functionality for the Rancho Dominguez America's Job Center of California (AJCC). This role ensures the facility remains organized, operational, compliant, and welcoming by coordinating vendors, supplies, office logistics, and facility‑related projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facility Operations & Maintenance
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day facility operations for the AJCC.
  • Monitor building conditions and submit maintenance requests as needed.
  • Serve as liaison between property management, vendors, contractors, and internal staff.
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, janitorial services, landscaping, pest control, and other facility services.
  • Track facility work orders and ensure timely completion.
  • Manage space planning, office moves, and facility utilization projects.
  • Oversee facility‑related contracts, including procurement, vendor selection, and contractor performance.
Office & Administrative Support
  • Manage inventory and coordinate purchasing of facility‑related materials.
  • Assist with office moves, workstation setups, conference room scheduling, and space planning.
  • Support staff with facility and operational needs.
  • Maintain organized records of vendor contracts, warranties, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
Safety & Compliance
  • Assist with workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and local building regulations.
  • Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify safety concerns or operational issues.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, evacuation procedures, and incident reporting.
  • Coordinate annual inspections and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee security systems, emergency preparedness plans, and workplace safety initiatives.
Event & Program Support
  • Prepare training rooms and meeting spaces for workshops, hiring events, orientations, and community programs.
  • Coordinate room setups, signage, technology needs, and facility access for events.
Customer Service
  • Provide professional and courteous service to staff, visitors, vendors, and community members.
  • Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and accessible environment for all participants.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  • Associate’s degree in Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in commercial facilities coordination, office operations, property management, or administrative operations.
  • California real estate license or property appraisal license is preferred.
  • Experience working in government, nonprofit, workforce development, education, or community service environments preferred.
Other

Skills and Abilities

Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e‑mail, video conferencing (Zoom, Teams) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Demands
