Position:
Certified English Language Arts Teacher (Grades 7‑12)
Pay Range: $2,807.70 – $4,038.47 bi‑weekly, depending on experience

Hours:

6 instructional hours per day, full‑time

• Deliver the educational program and ensure data‑driven, results‑based instruction aligned with Common Core Standards.
• Provide direct instruction to students for six hours a day.
• Create lessons and a differentiated curriculum to promote mastery of the Common Core Standards.
• Use assessments and data to inform instruction, maintain grade, attendance, and retention records.
• Provide targeted interventions for special‑education students and English Language Learners.
• Participate in community groups, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, teacher training workshops, and assist with state‑mandated student testing.
• Meet with students and parents to discuss progress and address concerns.

• BA/BS Degree.
• California Preliminary or Clear single‑subject teaching credential with English Language Authorization (ELA).

OFY is a free nonprofit public charter school serving students in grades 7‑12 who have fallen behind in school, are looking to get ahead and graduate early, or desire a non‑traditional learning environment. The blended learning model allows students, teachers, and families to design individualized learning plans based on strengths, weaknesses, college and career goals, and schedule outside of school.
