- Develop school direction in collaboration with fellow Principals and CEO, consistent with ISANA needs and goals.
- Set and maintain high standards for student performance, ensuring the school meets improvement standards and other charter obligations.
- Coordinate with outside evaluators to assess school performance, establishing strong data management and analysis systems and providing them to evaluators.
- Assist the CEO in developing and implementing a school accountability plan.
- Ensure smooth daily operations, including crisis management, discipline, and overall safety and security of the school.
- Lead the implementation of ISANA discipline policies in constant communication with fellow principals and the CEO.
- Manage staff and employees, utilizing each effectively, evaluating professional development needs, conducting periodic evaluations, and providing timely feedback.
- Develop and manage relationships with parents, families, and students, monitoring student status and progress.
- Commit to the school’s mission, vision, and policies, promoting and enforcing them with the CEO.
- Attend and prepare reports for each scheduled CEG board meeting, considering the school accountability plan.
- Assist the CEO by helping to edit or write portions of grants.
- Propose a site budget for the fiscal year with input from faculty and parents and present it to the CEO.
Specific Duties
- Prepare regular student achievement reports.
- Recruit, evaluate, and manage staff, including certificated teaching staff, classified staff, and special programs assistants.
- Develop, coordinate, and assess instructional programs, including standards‑based core curriculum, intervention programs, and special education program master plan for English Learner students.
- Supervise school‑wide curriculum and assessment mapping, including regular data analysis.
- Develop Master Schedule in alignment with instructional program needs and supervise its implementation.
- Manage and direct safe school programs, including emergency operations and student discipline.
- Develop and implement relevant and meaningful professional development for instructional personnel.
- Supervise implementation of school policies.
- Supervise and support all compliance‑related reporting (Title, Bilingual, Civil Rights Compliance, Federal Meal Program).
- Supervise and support maintenance of enrollment, admissions procedures, and records, including attendance procedures.
- Facilitate the development of a school‑wide vision, goal setting, and a positive school culture.
- Train and coach teaching staff on school‑wide teaching and learning practices.
- Coordinate and support parent workshops, parent participation programs, and family evaluations.
- Serve on the Site‑based Advisory Council.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- California Teaching Credential; CLAD or BCLAD.
- California Administrative Services Credential.
- Master’s Degree.
