Job Details- The Maintenance Supervisor provides direct oversight by leading the maintenance team, including work order prioritization, scheduling, reporting, and status updates.
- Participate in a culture of continuous improvement, aligning team activities with enterprise vision, mission, and objectives.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development in food safety, employee safety, product quality, and productivity.
- Provide leadership in measuring, assessing, and enhancing plant equipment capabilities and performance.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are met, drive continuous equipment improvements, and collaborate with production to drive efficiencies.
- Foster open dialogue and involvement with all team members to value input and engagement in improving performance.
- Promote a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and product safety and other business areas.
- Maintain an effective maintenance work order process: work order requests, preventive maintenance schedules, completed work orders, and follow-up actions.
- Source, procure, maintain, and control maintenance materials and inventory; manage Maintenance Purchase Order process.
- Maintain and organize all machine manuals, plant drawings, and other critical documents.
- Monitor facility temperatures daily and follow deficiency protocols.
- Follow all procedures, GMPs, and personal safety requirements outlined in SOPs.
- Drive lean principles and concepts throughout the Maintenance Department.
- Prepare monthly maintenance expense summaries for manager review.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports; issue work schedules and communicate status.
- Manage blade sharpening and other periodic programs as needed.
- Communicate timing and delivery of parts and/or work order progress to internal customers/departments.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Degree or technical school preferred.
- Minimum 3-7 years manufacturing maintenance experience in a food, CPG, or related industry.
- 3-5 years in a plant leadership role supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing Maintenance Technicians; experience in hiring and promotion processes.
- Strong mechanical/controls aptitude; experience with ammonia chilling systems, diesel generators, boilers, air compressors, and industrial cooking equipment preferred.
- Adept at problem-solving and timely issue resolution.
- Organized, accurate, thorough, and quality-focused; monitors own work.
- Dependable; able to follow instructions and respond to management.
- Multitasks and remains flexible with last-minute changes.
- Complies with GMPs and Food Safety requirements.
- Highly motivated with the ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-changing environment.
- Willing to work any shift, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Works independently and troubleshoots issues; collaborates in group problem solving when appropriate.
- Focuses on conflict resolution, openness to ideas, and constructive feedback; maintains composure.
- Builds confidence, inspires performance, and recognizes others appropriately.
- Provides supervision and feedback; supports organizational goals and values.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prioritizes and plans work activities efficiently; sets goals and coordinates tasks.
