Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Pay Rate $28.80 per hour

Position OverviewWe are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep our production equipment running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery across the facility.
Job Functions- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including conveyors, motors, sensors, and lifting systems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Inspect equipment, identify wear or damage, and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Work with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Read and follow diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications to complete repairs
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation
- Fabricate and repair parts using shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, welding tools)
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless and other metals
- Support line changeovers and assist production teams when needed
- Troubleshoot basic PLCs, VFDs, and control systems
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the system
- Order and track parts and supplies as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout practices
- Complete housekeeping tasks and secure equipment at the end of each shift
- High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
- 3+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or food processing environment
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and boiler systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial equipment
- Welding and fabrication skills (stainless steel experience preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable bending, crouching, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Willingness to work assigned schedules and overtime as needed
- Ability to follow safety rules and perform job duties safely
- Must pass background check and drug screening
