Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 per year

Oversee driver communication, performance, and daily operational execution for local and drayage operations. Serve as the main point of contact for drivers while supporting dispatch, freight coordination, customer communication, and track‑and‑trace functions. Ensure drivers are informed, productive, accountable, and supported throughout the day.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers.
• Communicate daily with drivers regarding schedules, assignments, delays, issues, and expectations.
• Monitor driver attendance, availability, performance, communication, and service reliability.
• Manage driver accountability, productivity, and overall service quality.
• Follow up with drivers on missed updates, late arrivals, incomplete paperwork, and operational issues.
• Escalate repeated driver issues, safety concerns, attendance problems, or service failures to leadership.
• Create a professional and accountable driver culture, support retention by addressing concerns promptly.
• Assist with dispatching drivers on local, drayage, and regional freight; support day and night shift coverage as needed.
• Assign loads based on availability, equipment, hours of service, appointments, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries, port appointments, yard moves, empty returns, and customer instructions.
• Resolve operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, appointment conflicts, equipment issues, and coverage gaps.
• Support customer communication on load status, delays, appointment updates, and service issues.
• Monitor active loads, confirm driver status updates, keep systems updated with accurate load information.
• Help ensure customers receive timely updates.
• Assist with freight booking and management; review driver capacity and match freight.
• Co‑ordinate daily load planning and schedule execution; improve driver utilization and productivity.
• Follow up with drivers on PODs, BOLs, gate receipts, photos, and other paperwork; ensure timely submission.
• Escalate missing or incomplete paperwork when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with dispatchers, maintain organized communication.
• Support dispatcher training, process consistency, and issue escalation.

• Minimum 5 years experience in trucking, dispatch, driver management, drayage, local delivery, or transportation operations.
• Direct driver interaction experience.
• Experience with drayage, port, local, or regional trucking preferred.
• Strong understanding of driver communication, load execution, customer updates, and daily trucking operations.
• Ability to manage multiple drivers, loads, appointments, and issues concurrently.
• Strong communication skills with drivers, customers, dispatchers, and leadership.
• Professional handling of driver issues.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with TMS systems, GPS tracking, ELD platforms (e.g., Samsara, Alvys).
• English is required;
  Spanish is a plus but not required.
