Driver Class A

Clean Harbors in Compton, CA seeks a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs, for hazardous waste clean‑up at customer sites.

• Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe‑work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Observe corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
• Observe environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Haz Mat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
• Meet facial hair standards per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard for respirator use.

• Commercial driver experience.
• Haz Mat and Tanker endorsement.
• Previous Haz Mat experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.
