Job Overview

Universal Logistics is a leading provider of customized transportation and logistics solutions. We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused local, home‑daily CDL A Intermodal Company Drivers based in Compton, CA. Our intermodal services cover all major U.S. ports, rail ramps, and customer facilities, providing domestic door‑to‑door drayage. We offer chassis, containers, drayage, and related services for imports, exports, and domestic moves.

• Drive tractor‑trailer units to and from ports, rails, and customer facilities
• Perform drop‑and‑hook operations (no‑touch freight)
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with all regulations
• Ensure accurate record keeping of mileage, fuel, and cargo
• Assist with daily operational readiness of vehicles and equipment

• 6 months of tractor‑trailer experience within the past year
• Valid CDLA license (required)
• TWIC Card (preferred; can be obtained after employment)
• Hazmat endorsement (can be obtained after employment)
• Ability to commute to Compton, CA 90223

• Home‑daily shifts (day or night)
• Day shift: start between 5:00AM and 7:00AM
• Night shift: start between 3:00PM and 5:00PM
• Average 10–12 hours per day, Monday–Friday

• Paid per load, up to $400 per day
• Minimum guaranteed pay of $225 for the first 4 weeks
• Weekly pay cycle

• Home‑daily drop and hook (no‑touch freight)
