Position OverviewThe Material Handler will be responsible for moving, organizing, and storing materials and products in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting. This role plays a key part in ensuring our warehouse runs smoothly and that products are handled with care and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Safely and efficiently move materials and products to designated locations within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually as needed.
- Ensure accurate inventory management by labeling and organizing stock, and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and report any issues to supervisors.
- Assist with order picking, packaging, and staging materials for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (training available if needed).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends if required.
